Barriers Info & Starting Positions:
Gosford is the top sporting facility in the North Coast Area and a focal point for the local community. The track has a circumference of approx. 1700m and is laid out like a flattened triangle with a long back straight and two fairly short straights joined by a flattened corner. This gives the 1000m-1200m runners a good straight run up to the final corner however there is only a short final straight coming of the corner and back markers can find themselves scouting wide to get a run. Slightly biased towards runners drawn in but an advantage to be in the leading bunch coming off the final bend.
