Feature Race, Barriers Info & Starting Positions:
Werribee hosts many meetings throughout the year including the popular Werribee Cup. Fully renovated in 2013, it has world class facilities in a country setting only a short drive from Melbourne CBD.
Werribee is laid out in an unusual triangle shape with a chute at the final straight for the longer races up to 2200m and another in the back straight for the sprints up to 1100m. Although the corners are well banked there will generally be a bias in favour of horses that can lead and are drawn in, with 3 tight corners and a short final straight at 275m from the last turn to the finish line. The circumference is 1737m.
